How is it nearly Christmas again??? Only 15 more sleeps you better get cracking with present shopping and organising the all important Christmas Day events with family and friends. Before we get to Christmas Day, their is so many things to do this festive season. I have you covered with all the exciting events in Noosa and surrounds, plenty more happening you can join in.
Festive Events
Reed & Co presents the Carol Cruise
Friday 10th Dec
5pm - 6:30pm
Reed & Co is putting on the Carol Cruise with Carols being sung from the Noosa Ferry. So either follow the ferry via boat or enjoy the carols at the 4 different stops along the Noosa River. Stop 1 - Ravenwood Park at 5pm, Stop 2 Noosa Park West 5:30pm, Settler's Cove Jetty - 6pm or at stop 4 - Lions park Noosa Heads at 6:30pm. All free so pack the chairs and picnic rug and of course friends and family to join you.
Christmas at Lifepointe
10th - 16th Dec

Lifepointe Church, Buderim
Each night the church will open their doors to the community to celebrate Christmas. Running now for 18 years, so if you want to hear the true message of Christmas come along.
You will enjoy Christmas show with multiple shows per night. Experience the stable and animal farm with a chance to pat and hold the animals. Tunnel of lights, free popcorn, fairy floss and balloon creations. Free jumping castle, walk through market lane. Food trucks and the cafe will be open to make purchases.

Eumundi Christmas Extravaganza

This is one not to miss. The Eumundi Christmas Extravaganza will be a 5 hour festival of Christmas entertainment on stage for the whole family. Free rides, Fireworks, face painting, food and market stalls. Best part its all FREE!!!
Carols on the Green

Club Mooloolaba
Club Mooloolaba is presenting Carols on the green. Carols, Santa and Mrs Claus will be all part of the event. Food trucks and full bar facilities. Following the carols a giant screen will be showing Polar Express at 7:15pm so bring your picnic rug and chairs and blankets for the outdoor movie time. Did I mention its a free event!!!
Christmas on Hastings Street
16th - 19th Dec

Hastings Street Noosa
Come on down to Hastings Street and spot the roaming performances along the street. There will be over 20 over them to spot from musicians to acrobats to elves and more.
Santa on the Beach
16th - 23rd Dec

Noosa Main Beach, in front of Noosa Heads Surf Club

The Festive Garden
Maroochy Botanical Gardens

It's a festive walk through of Christmas lights experience at Maroochy Botanical Gardens. Please note need to take the free shuttle bus from the University of the Sunshine Coast to get to the event. You will enjoy the Christmas spirit with the beautiful lights in the magical setting, face painting, Santa, elves and entertainment. Christmas Flotilla

Salt Water Park, Noosa Waters
Noosa Waters Residents present this free event. It starts at Saltwater Park in Noosa Waters Estate but you can be positioned at any of the parks around the water ways. Its the local residents that pimp up their boats with Christmas lights and if your lucky some chuck out lollies to the kids. Best to bring your picnic rug and chairs and dinner to enjoy the night out.
Coolum Flicks in the Park

The Grinch
If you missed watching The Grinch the night before at Terella Brewery, not to worry Coolum has you covered. Flicks in the Park at Tickle Park is the best as you mostly get a good view with the hill. So bring along your picnic rug, blanket and chairs if desired (always suggest low beach chairs). Movie will start when the sun goes down around 6:30pm. If you come earlier to secure your spot, there is free live music and face painting from 5pm.
Peregian Beach Carols
Wednesday 22nd Dec
From 3pm onwards
Wow this event is the longest running carols on the coast. This year it will be the 57th year, so impressive or what. So come and enjoy live music of carols from local bands, soloists and duos. Food and artisan stalls to grab your last minute Christmas presents. Kids are sorted with jumping castle and face painting. Of course a visit from Santa and his elves at 5:30pm. Light show to conclude the night at 8pm. Now its not free but such a great bargain of $10 per family and includes all the entertainment.
Ginger Factory
Every Wednesday - Sunday until Christmas Day
9:30am - 1:30pm
Times and days above are for the free Santa that comes to visit the Ginger Factory. It's free event to visit and take your own photo with Santa. He is the most authentic looking Santa going around. We have visited him every year so far. We have gone already yesterday as seen below, Santa came to us. You can sit in the seats in front as shown, in the sleigh or next to Santa so many options. Afterwards enjoy the playground, cafe and Gruffalo spotting all these things are free. If you want to enjoy the train ride and boat ride that does cost and the tours that are on offer.

The Croods
Christmas Day might be over but the holidays have really just begin with plenty of free outdoor movie nights. Enjoy the balmy summer nights and enjoy a movie with love ones. Don't forget the picnic rug and food. Live music and face painting from 5pm, with the movie starting at sun down around 6:30pm.
Free Buses
Whilst we are on the subject of free activities you can also enjoy free buses in Noosa. They run for the full Summer holidays as it becomes mayhem here otherwise. Park and ride spots too around town then jump on the bus to get your to Hastings Street, The Junction or the River. Free buses start from 11th Dec - 23rd Jan.
